ALL INDIVIDUALS 16 YEARS AND OLDER MUST HAVE VALID GOVERNMENT ISSUED ID MATCHING THE NEIGHBORHOOD ADDRESS. You may pick up your family's cards but you must have ID for all individuals 16 or over.

LOWO POOL RULES - Please read and check the boxes below

Pool users MUST follow the instructions of the Pool Monitors.

The Lakes of White Oak Community Association mandates the following rules be followed by each person at the pool facility. Any questions concerning these rules should be directed to the Pool Manager. Lakes of White Oak Community Association of Coweta County, Inc. staff reserves the right to revoke membership cards and/or expel persons failing to comply with these rules.

GENERAL:

* The Lakes of White Oak Community Association pool is a Swim-at-Your-Own-Risk facility. There are no lifeguards on duty. Pool monitors are present to help control access to the pool, minimize safety risk, and to maintain water quality.

*Pool users MUST follow the instructions of the Pool Staff.

* Only members in good standing with the Lakes of White Oak Community are allowed access to the pool area. Yearly assessments must be paid in full, the owner cannot currently be cited for violations of the governing documents, and there are no other outstanding fees owed. Completion of an annual pool pass application is required for entry into the pool area.

* Upon entering the pool gates, all members will be required, without exception, to present a valid membership card for each family member, each time they visit the pool. Residents forgetting their cards will be charged the $1 guest fee to enter the pool. Replacement cards can be obtained for $2 for each lost card.

* Unattended swimming, or swimming after pool hours is prohibited.

* The pool is not available for private parties. Use of the clubhouse for a private party does not include use of the community pool.

* Neither the Lakes of White Oak Community Association of Coweta County, Inc. nor any Board/Committee member may be held liable for lost or stolen items.

CHILDREN:

* Pool users MUST follow the instructions of the Pool Staff.

* Children shall not use the pool without an adult in attendance. Members younger than 12 years old must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. A parental permission note is required if the adult is not a pool member. Non-member caretakers are only allowed with a member and are subject to the guest fee themselves.

* Members 12 years of age, but not yet 18, may enter the pool area without adult supervision, unless they are bringing a guest. If bringing a guest, adult supervision is required. This adult caretaker should be a member and is defined as someone who is at least 18 years old and is supervising the teenagers. A parental permission note is required if the adult is not a pool member.

* Children, three years old and younger, as well as any child not potty trained, must wear snug fitting plastic pants or a water-resistant swim diaper. Please check on children often, who have unsure bathroom habits. Accidents in the pool will result in the closing of the pool until the water is sanitized.

* Please note a member may be assessed a fee for expenses incurred for closing and cleaning up of the pool due to not following this rule.

WADING POOL:

* Pool users MUST follow the instructions of the Pool Staff.

* The wading pool is designed for small children (age 5 and under) who cannot swim, or who may not be ready for the big pool. This is not a play area for children who know how to swim.

* Do not allow children to sit or stand on the water sprayer. The safety of children in the wading pool is each parent’s responsibility.

* Do not eat or drink near the wading pool, including the short pool chairs, if they are on the edge of the pool. No food or drink accidents are allowed in the water. Please keep food and drink at least 3 feet from the wading pool.

* Check your child's swimsuit bottoms often.

* If there is an accident, in the pool, please tell the pool monitors immediately.

GUESTS:

* Pool users MUST follow the instructions of the Pool Staff.

* $1.00 guest fee per person per day. Correct change is appreciated, since the Monitors may not be able to provide change. Guest fees waived for infants under the age of 6 months and adults over the age of 75, IF NOT SWIMMING.

* There is a maximum of 5 guests per household, per day. Members are responsible for their guests obeying pool rules.

* You must be at least 18 years of age to bring a guest into the pool area.

POOL ETIQUETTE:

*Pool users MUST follow the instructions of the Pool Staff.

* Our goal is to provide a family friendly environment. Profanity, vulgar remarks, overt public displays of affection, or disrespectful comments will not be tolerated. This includes music that contains these items as well as in the areas surrounding the pool and in the parking lot. The Pool Staff has sole discretion as to the appropriateness of behavior and may request that any person leave the premises for any reason.

* NO SMOKING, vaping, e-cigarettes, illegal drug, or any type of tobacco use allowed in or around the pool There is a designated smoking area outside of the pool zone.

* NO ALCOHOL use is permitted in the pool area, playground, or the parking lot. Anyone showing signs of being under the influence will be asked to leave.

* FULL COVERAGE, APPROPRIATE, SWIM ATTIRE is required for ALL AGES. In addition, no cut-off jeans/shorts/pants allowed (because the threads can damage the pool filtration systems).

* Food and drink ONLY ALLOWED AROUND TABLES AND LOUNGERS. Do not eat or drink near the wading pool, including the short pool chairs, if they are on the edge of the pool. No food or drink accidents are allowed in the water. Please keep food and drink at least 3 feet from the wading pool.

*No foreign contaminants allowed in pool or near pool, i.e. dip tobacco, chewing tobacco, bubble solution, soap, no spitting, no gum.

* Members and their guests are required to PICK UP AFTER YOURSELVES. DO NOT LEAVE TRASH OR FOOD ON TABLES, CHAIRS, OR POOL DECK. NO GLASS articles are allowed in the pool area.

POOL SAFETY:

* Pool users MUST follow the instructions of the Pool Staff.

* No running or horseplay is permitted within or around the pool. No spitting, spouting of water, or blowing nose in the pool.

* Showering is recommended before entering the pool.

* NO DIVING OR FLIPS. Only forward jumping/feet first entry is permitted.

* NO hard items – footballs, baseballs, frisbees, etc. – are permitted to be thrown in or around the pool. All balls must be squishy/Nerf type and can only be thrown within the pool when it is not crowded. Items are never to be thrown across/over the pool. Larger items such as inner tubes, rafts, and toys designed for throwing will be limited during busy periods. This is for the courtesy of all pool members. Please keep toys away from the pool edges when not being used.

* No skateboards, roller blades, skates, bicycles, or scooters may be used in the pool area.

* No turtles, frogs, etc. may be brought in from the lake and all dirt/debris from the playground or lake area must be washed off before entering the pool area.

LIGHTNING, THUNDER, AND HEAVY RAIN:

*POOL USERS MUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE POOL STAFF.

* No swimming allowed during heavy rain, or when thunder or lightning can be seen or heard. Everyone should leave the premises.

* Red Cross standards prohibit reentry to the pool for a minimum of 15 to 30 minutes after each lightning indication.

* IT IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE POOL STAFF TO DETERMINE CLOSING AND RE-OPENING OF THE POOL DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

* NO LAKE ACCESS is permitted from the LOWOCA common area shore or dam BY ANYONE, including lake property owners. This includes no swimming, fishing, or boating. The homeowners surrounding the lake pay a separate association fee strictly for the taxes and maintenance associated with Sullivan Lake.

* Pool Staff will enforce these rules.

* Pool Management and The Lakes of White Oak Community Board of Directors reserves the right to establish and enforce rules not listed here, to promote a family type atmosphere and/or provide for the general safety of our members.
